With their fractured songs, unexpected blasts of feedback, laconic vocals, cryptic literate lyrics, and defiant low-fidelity, Pavement were one of the most influential and distinctive bands to emerge from the American underground in the '90s. Pavement, along with Sebadoh, were the leaders of the lo-fi movement that dominated U.S. indie rock in the early '90s. Initially conceived as a studio project between guitarists/vocalists Stephen Malkmusand Scott Kannberg in the '80s, Pavement gradually became a band during the early '90s. Along the way, their initial EPs and debut album, 1992's Slanted & Enchanted, earned a devoted following of musicians, indie fans, and critics.

Hit The Plane Down Lyrics

Pavement

Im up on a hill top where i
Keep you in sight, my little toys
I buried you because the sun
Will melt them
Got you up my sleeve
Got you up my sleeve
Got you up my sleeve
Got you up my sleeve
Got you up my sleeve
Hit the plane down
Hit the plane down
Hit the plane down
Taking over
Taking over your life
Im taking over your scene
Ya, ya, ya, ya, ya
I would hope see the face I would hope you see her face
Hit the plane down
Hit the plane down
Hit the plane down (taking over)
Theres no survivors
Theres no survivors
Dont even snow (were not that disturbed)
Dont even snow
Hit the plane down
Hit the plane down
Hit the plane down (taking over)
Theres no survivors
Theres no survivors
Taking over your life
Taking over your life
Im taking over the scene
Im taking everything
All I wanted it all
My little trick
I wouldnt mind just a milligram up my sleeve
Ive got you up my sleeve
Ive got you up my sleeve
Ive got you up my sleeve
Hit the plane down
Hit the plane down
Hit the plane down
Theres no survivors
Taking over your life
Taking over your life
Im taking over the scene
Im taking everything
Im taking everything
Ive got to melt it x 10
Hit the plane down
Hit the plane down theres no survivors
There is no survivors
